Traditional felt materials have improved over the years and still remain one of the most popular products for flat roofs.
Felt roofing materials are the cheapest of all the flat roofing materials.
Suitable for garages, outbuildings, bay window roofing, sheds etc.
EPDM, (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), is a synthetic rubber material that is widely used in the construction industry.
It is a both a durable and flexible material and it can withstand extreme temperatures. UV protection properties, and changeable weather resistance, making it ideal for use in roofing.
It is more expensive than the traditional felt roofing material but it lasts much longer and so is more cost effective in the long run. It is proving popular and is definately worth considering having it installed on your flat roof building.
GRP Fibreglass roofing, also known as glass-reinforced plastic/polyester. It is a fibre reinforced polymer made of a plastic matrix which is reinforced by fine fibres of glass. It can be moulded and is very strong and durable.
It is the more expensive of the flat roofing materials but lasts longer than the rest and can be repaired. Maintenance for all flat roofing is recommended and lengthens the life expectancy of any flat roof material.
