Gutter Services
Do your gutters overflow in heavy downpours? This is usually a sign of a blockage in the system, which can usually be cleared quite quickly.
Heavy rainfall should still flow through the system but any signs of it not doing so is not the heavy flow of water but normally signs of a blockage. Sometimes, all that is required is a quick check and a simple and inexpensive job.
However, if there are any blockages in the gutter system it can lead to problems, an overflowing gutter, for example, can lead to damage to the brickwork and dampness on internal ceilings and walls.

This gutter problem was due to a blockage of leaves and debris,
as soon as the gutter was cleared the water flowed through the
system as it should.
Gutters play an important role in keeping the roof dry and help prevent dampness. They are designed to allow the rain water to run off the roof, enter the gutters and flow through into the drains. However, any blockages in the gutter system can cause problems. There is a natural build up of dirt, grime, leaves, nesting materials and so forth that can lead to blockages. The rain water will disperse and if the gutters are blocked at any point, the water can overflow, damage the mortar between the brickwork and cause damp problems to ceilings and walls. If left this can also cause problems with the foundations of a building if the water is constantly pooling.
We carry out all gutter repairs, replacing any damaged guttering, including downpipes. We also carry out upgrades to the new upvc systems which are more cost effective than the older systems.
We would recommend having the gutters checked and cleaned once or twice a year to ensure there are no problems.
